In its search for sophisticated new materials capable of bringing a touch of novelty and sophistication to ceramics, Ariana turned to the world of natural stone and discovered Ceppo di Grè, a unique sedimentary rock extracted from the shores of Lake d’Iseo which has been widely used in Lombard architecture since Roman times.‎ FUTURA, the Ariana collection, reinvents the sober appeal of this material in a ceramic version.‎ The natural stone’s warm grey colour provides the inspiration for the three colours of FUTURA, whose aesthetic recreates the characteristic textures of pebbles bonded into a calcareous conglomerate.‎ In spite of its uniform appearance, in reality it displays an infinite degree of variability as a result of the process of natural formation over the millennia.‎ FUTURA is a wide-ranging collection available with three original surfaces: natural-silk-touch, lightly-honed and bush hammered.‎ This latter finish is specially designed for outdoor applications and is able to create original and distinctive spaces that blend perfectly with the mood of the interiors.‎ Technical details Product type: Coloured body porcelain tile.‎ Sizes and surfaces: 60×60 cm natural/rectified, honed/ rectified, bush hammered R11/ rectified, bush hammered R11/natural, 30×60 cm natural/ rectified, honed/ rectified, 30×30 cm Mosaic and Mosaic Sticks.‎ Colours: Cenere, Antracite, Tortora.‎
